ReneeWe use SIMV/CPAP on open heart pt's with a PEP (prompt extubation protocol) We use CPAP/AC on trauma pt's and it varies with all other pt's. No two pt's are the same. Some require time, some require quick attentive actions. Each case requires the best, most efficient method for them. Our goal as RCP/RRT is to achieve the end result of safe extubation without the need for re-intubation. We can all learn each other and from experienced professionals. THANKS TO YOU ALL WHO GIVE US YOUR TEACHINGS AND TIME.
