I wish to know what are the equipments
required for administrating Heliox for
the COPD patients. Is it just sent through
a flow meter and nasal cannula.? What is the
flow we should set in the flow meter? How
do we adjust the dosage?

Apart from FIO2, whatelse we should monitor.
Can some one explain?

We use 70/30 Heliox always with a NRB. Adjust the flow as you always do, enough to keep the bag full.

Viasys has a new mask called the HiOx that delivers 80/20 heliox at only 8 l/m. The mask costs around $ 12-15 but you save a tank a shift plus FTE time and productivity.
