I am having an educational arguement with a coworker of mine. Our policy states that we change out SVNs every other day. I feel that this is to frequent. What is your practice at your hospital? Thanks in advance for your input.

How often do you change out nebulizers?

Every day
Every other day
Twice a week
Once a week
PRN

 

Were are everyday but all my coworkers and I think it's to much, but that seems to be what Infection Control wants from what we hear.
