This is my first post so.. Hello!

I am part of a committee for a health-care facility looking to provide ventilator services to our community. There are very few options in our area and there is a need.
Ive been reading as much as I can on the subject b/c I'm starting out with very little knowledge. What I really need to know at this point is cost vs reward to get corp. approval to proceed.
That being average cost of the machines themselves.

What parts "such as the patient circuit" have to be changed frequently. How often?

Positive Pressure vs Negative Pressure and the types of resp. care they provide.

What % of vent patients return to home after rehab, how many are permanent.

Maybe this will help in my research before I start contacting other facilitys and vendors. Thanks!

Thanks for the post. Rather than attempt to answer all of these questions I request you forward your contact info to me at dotmover@gmail.com and I will give you a call. I definitely applaud anyone trying to set up a quality operation to serve the needs of long term vent patients.
