Hi all, i have a question regarding the triggering of the Vela vent. Am I correct if I say that should the Vela flow-sensor becomes defective it will no longer alow the patient to trigger on flow (Pt is being ventilated on volume simv) but will divert to a pressure triggering mode of 0 to -5 cmH2O? what happens with the Savina vent should it flow sensor becomes faulty, will the ventilator continue to ventilate however not in simv but a/c mode?
