endotracheal and tracheostomy tube cuff pressure relief
Is there a device that provides cuff pressure relief instead of constant pressure during a mechanical ventilator breath?

YES
IT IS CALLED A BIVONNA TRACH, I AM NOT SURE IF THAT IS THE CORRECT SPELLING.

I am looking for a DEVICE that connects to the pilot balloon of the trach to help regulate the constant pressure on the tracheal wall.It inflates to seal during a mechanical breath then relieves pressure between breaths. It use to be called a PRESSURE-EASY DEVICE.

Why would you need to use such a device? It seems that as long as cuff pressure is checked on a regular basis and maintained between 18-24cmH20 there should be no concern with regards to malasia or errosion. To create a leak and increase the risk of aspiration seems questionable.
