My mom is staying in Kindred hopspital , Greensboro NC. She's been there for about 3 years. It's about 2 hrs. away form Shelby where we live. Are there any places closer to Shelby that can take care of Vent patients

refer to the clinical case management staff at the Kindred there. They are really the local experts on discharge options for vent patients. I know of no fully developed data base of vent capable nursing facilities, and the fact that a home takes vents doesn't mean I would ever recomend them without first visisting them and asking many tough questions the first of which is do they provide 24/7 RTs.
