I have a 19 year old son who is vent dependent. He goes to college and has been getting there via his nurse driving him. Recently the Home Health Agency told us the nurse could no longer drive him due to liability. My question is how then is a child suppose to get around to school and for outside activites ? A second question has any one else ever heard of this?

If the nurse was using her own car or company car, she or the company could incur liability if an accident happened while your son was in the car. I would suggest talking with an attorney to see if you could find a way to minimize the liability to the nurse or her company. You might then be able to have them resume transportation.
