Over the paast 6 months The International Ventilator Users Network (IVUN) has been informed by concerned vent users/families and RRTs that several US States are eliminating and/or restricting Medicaid/Medicare supports to vent users. This includes choice of ventilators and community support services, thus forcing some vent users into nursing homes - even out of State.

IVUN has developed a resolution which all those interested (including health and industry partners) are invited to sign. This can be found at the following link:
