What does white foamy secretions mean? It is hard to sunction the secretions up, out of the trach, the ballard and in-line sunction does draw the secretions. 2 evenings ago, the secretions actually came out of his nose. 1) Is this a precusor to another condition I should be watching, 2) how do I best keep his lungs clean and mobilized?

Although it is always safest and best to let your MD see and decide treatment, sometimes a frothy white secretions that is hard to suction out is indicative of congestive heart failure. I would suggest getting a doctor to look at the patient.
