In April of 2004, I will be in the field for 30 years. I haven't worked in a hospital in 19 years.

Nice to see so many still going strong in this field.
For someone who is aspiring to be an RT do you have any suggestions or advice about the field. I posted on the other board (RC Professionals). I'm wanting to work with children. I LOVE them and I love working with people in general, and love technology. Hoping to hear from you experienced RTs. Thanks, monja |

Well next month will mark 32 years and over a dozen different hospitals. This includes 20 years in the Army both as a Combat Medic and Respiratory Specialist. Going to school to finish my paramedic and still love working in RT. The biggest challenge is to not let the burnouts get you down.

32 years total and 25 out of school. I'm a second generation RT brat. I guess I can't decide what I want to be when I grow up.
